Dave Johnson — singer, songwriter, and guitarist — is a proud Virginia Beach native and the powerhouse frontman of Dave Johnson & The Truth.
With over two decades of performing under his belt, Dave has brought his electrifying live show to some of the East Coast’s most iconic stages, including The Bitter End in NYC, House of Blues in South Carolina, and the oceanfront amphitheater stages of his hometown.
Over the past decade, Dave and his band have shared the stage with national acts such as Donavon Frankenreiter, The Allman Betts Band, Dada, and most recently provided direct support for Christone “Kingfish” Ingram at The NorVa in 2024.
2024 was a standout year for the band: they were featured on WTKR TV3’s Coast Live to debut their new EP BACKAROUND and earned a nomination for Best Live Band in Hampton Roads at the Veer Magazine Awards.
Today, Dave Johnson & The Truth continue to grow their fan base with their high-energy mix of rock, soul, and blues — and their full discography, including BACKAROUND, is available now on all streaming platforms.
